The Xianlin university town is a new satellite town in Nanjing, which has distinct personality and unique charm. With the implementation of the riverside development strategy, ecological environment is under increasing pressure by industrial development, which's quality shows a downward tendency. Therefore, this area requires the comparative study on the ecological pattern to analysis on the potential superiority and the existence question in order to optimizate and establish the ecological security pattern to safeguard area's all-round development.Using geographic information system technology, this study research on the landscape ecological pattern of Xianlin university town in Nanjing from the perspective of landscape ecology, and research on which in 2002,2009 and 2020 quantitatively and contrastively. Variation of landscape ecological pattern, ecological service function evaluation and compensation, the optimization and construction for the ecological security pattern are studied.Its main research results are as follows:1. With remote sensing images in 2002 and 2009and geographic information graphs in 2020 as basic materials, combining the land use maps, research figures and on-the-spot investigation to extraction and calibration related information, this paper divided 8 kinds of differentiate landscape types on level-1 and 21 kinds of differentiate landscape types on level-2, and draw the landscape type distribution in three different periods.2. By choosing the landscape pattern index as analysis indicators, this paper analysised the variation characteristic of landscape pattern in three different periods from patches-level and landscape-level two levels, and diagnosed the defects existing in the landscape structure. 3. On patches-level this paper selected farmland, forest land, meadow and waters 4 main ecological system to make ecosystem service function evaluation; and on landscape-level selected ecosystem service function value, green equivalent, temperature, hydrology and long-term solid carbon ability as indexes to research on the compensation of ecological service function in the three periods.4. This paper discriminanted out the key spatial pattern of natural green, waters and cultural heritage which stacked the security pattern of each single process, and constructed the comprehensive ecological security pattern in order to promote the sustainable development.5. It's not enough that the protection for the ecological space only stays at research stage. We must rely on government's intervention and regulation behavior to make each landscape ecological engineering design cases into practice. Under those going we were could obtain protection purposes. Therefore, this paper proposed the landscape ecological construction program for Xianlin university town.
