A Study On The Problems Of The Transport Of Dangerous Goods By Road

Dangerous goods are vairous and used extensively, but of great danger with special features of being flammable, explosive and toxic, which require professional staff, vehicles of special use and business franchise.Transport of dangerous goods by road is flexible,fast,timely and adaptable while transport of dangerous goods by air,water and rail has limitations of weather,route and other factors,and is not perfect in the aspects of management mechanism and basic facilities.Therefore,the types and quantity of dangerous goods transported by road have been continually increasing with the fast development of China's economy and ever_-grouing demand for dangerous goods.Moreover, transport capacity has also increased considerably as a result of the increase of goods quantity,vehicles and the employed.Leak,fire or explosion will occure if dangerous goods suffers the changes of temperature and moisture or accidental collisions,which would seriously damage the lives of surrounding residents,property or even the environment.Problems still exist in the transport of dangerous goods by road such as high risk,employees with low quality,frequent accidents,outdated equipment and so on.Therefore,how to lower accident risk,improve employees' quality and ensure transport safety is of great significance for social stability and ensuring people's lives and property.Based on the research on the status of domestic and international transport of dangerous goods by road,this thesis first states the meaning,charactoristics and classification of dangerous good and then proposes the requirements of transport of dangerous goods by road for vehicles,compares advantages and disadvantages of various transport modes in the transport of dangerous goods,analysizes the status and major problems of the transport of dangerous good by road,and illustrates the casualities caused by transport accidents and the harm to the environment through relevant data.Secondly, this thesis according to the case of Suzhou Gas Company and management properties of material transported,transport risk,and accident happen-ed,and then analysizes the causes of the accidents and the damages and the measures taken by the company.Finally, this thesis analysizes the factors existing in the transport of dangerous goods by road,such as employee factor vehicle factor and enterprises management factors.Based on these problems, the thesis puts forward the strategies that helps develop the transport of dangerous goods by roads---strengthening prevention and control of accidents,perfecting laws and regulations related,improving the training of employees,developing the third party logistics and achieving green and clean production of road transport of dangerous goods.These measures are of great significance for sovling the problems in the transport of dangerous goods by road the development dangerous goods enterprises and states manements of the transport of dangerous goods.
