Research On Rebuilding The Landscape Environment Of The Old Urban Residential Community

The old urban residential community is an important carrier and object of city renewal and alteration. It always plays an important part in the development and construction of the whole cities. All old urban residential communities have been densely populated, much lower income group, aging of population problems and so on. With this fact, lots of landscape problems come into being, such as dense buildings, little green area, Planting Design form is monotonous, repetitive, lack of landscape view, be short of public service facility provision, foundation condition out of date, plants growing disorder without evening maintenance, dense plants forming diseases and insect pests.Since the late of 1990s, Shanghai has built a large number of merchandise housings with plentiful green land. The living condition of citizen has been improved totally in a large degree. But under the market economy condition, rebuilding landscape environment of the old urban residential community has always been ignored in the fast development of the city. We can not ameliorate living condition of citizen with the old condition going to sticks and staves. How to rebuild the landscape of the old urban residential community availably would influence the whole environment and sight of the city directly. Accordingly, with the principles of sustainable development, In order to meet the residents of good quality living environment, the author started this research of rebuilding the landscape environment of the old urban residential community.The paper was divided into five parts. The first section was introduction, which introduced the background, the intention, the meaning and the framework of the research. The second part expatiated the cause, the intention and the meaning of rebuilding the landscape of the old urban residential community. With thought of the concept and the content of the old urban residential community, the author confirmed the object of the research, and put forward the question for discussion. The author, in the third part, analyzed the characteristic and the actuality of landscape environment of the old urban residential community, from the history of Shanghai old urban residential community development. The forth part was about the meaning of rebuilding the old urban residential community to the city, the whole landscape view, the city environment and city living integrative benefits. In this part, the author also analyzed the problems and difficulties of rebuilding Shanghai landscape environment of the old urban residential community, from the aspects of the owner, the construction enterprise, the estate management, and financing.Taking guilin east street kangqiangfang, jingan borough yaoxi residential community, changning borough chengqiao street wangxiaoman residential community for example, and using these cases for reference, the author, in the fifth part, summarized implement ways to rebuilding the landscape environment of the old urban residential community. These ways related to decision-making, rebuilding and construction, and programming. At last, in the conclusion and suggestion part, the author pointed out that today the rebuilding landscape environment of the old urban residential community had entered into a new historical stage. With the background of 2010 Shanghai World Exposition, to rebuild the landscape environment of the old urban residential community, we should constitute professional planning of rebuilding landscape environment, and persist in the policy of adjusting and uniting the old urban residential community. According to the green area and the importance of rebuilding, the author put the landscape environment of old urban residential community into three different degrees. We encourage owner committee to rebuild the environment self-reliance. Also we suggest our government attaching importance to the landscape environment of old urban residential community in the suburb and town, and establishing special fund for the rebuilding of the landscape environment of the old urban residential community.
