Study On The Relationship Between Perception Of Residential Environment Quality And Community Identity Of Urban Residents

With the acceleration of China’s urbanization process,a large number of people have poured into cities,causing a series of problems such as traffic congestion,air pollution,and so on.In 2019,the National Health Commission initiated the "Healthy China Action(2019-2030)" strategy,to create healthy environment.The report of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party pointed out that the main social contradiction of our country at this stage has been transformed into a contradiction between the people’s growing need for a better life and unbalanced and inadequate development.However,the quality of living environment is closely related to the quality of life of community residents.The quality of living environment perception affects residents’ life satisfaction and sense of community,and affects the enthusiasm and confidence of community residents to participate in community public affairs.The community is the basic living area of residents,and a high-quality living environment can meet people’s pursuit of a better life,improving community residents’ life satisfaction,increasing residents’ sense of community identity,and building a better home.This paper selects community residents in 12 administrative regions of Chengdu to conduct field investigations.The data analysis results found that among the three dimensions of the perception of the quality of the living environment,the perception of green areas significantly affects the identity of the residents’ community,but the perception of building space and the perception of road accessibility have no significant impact on the identity of the community;social capital plays a mediating role between the quality of the living environment and community identity.Therefore,during the community development,the government should actively improve community green space,listen to residents’ opinions,meet residents’ needs,rationally plan community building space,improve road transportation networks,provide a good platform for community interactions,increase residents’ social capital stock,and improve resident community identity.
