With the rapid development of the national economy, power user electric energy demand increases increasingly. The electricity system in nonlinear loads are more and more, such as static inverter, industrial AC/DC conversion device, silicon rectifier equipment, electric locomotives ( single-phase load ), frequency conversion equipment, control equipment and impact loads ( such as electric arc furnace, rolling mill ). These nonlinear load operation not only produces a large number of harmonics, also cause grid current, voltage waveform distortion, flicker and three phase balance a series of power quality problems, caused by harmonic" pollution", become the network" pollution", not only causes the power supply equipment safety and reduced service life, and the serious interference of the power of its safe and economic operation. On the other hand, an electronic controller, chip production line, PLC, precision machine tool, a miniature motor and a computer device for power supply quality of the more comprehensive requirements, especially the transient performance requirements, such as transient operation of the high reliability and high dynamic constant characteristic. These are for power forward " clean " quality requirements, also gives the electric energy quality new meaning, so that the power quality problems have become an increasing concern and become a research hotspot.Visible, along with the power quality problems become more serious and the majority of users of electrical energy requirements of the continuous improvement of quality, establish and improve the electric energy quality monitoring and analyzing system, detection, evaluation and classification, guarantee and improve electric energy quality has been imminent. In view of the single function of power system measurement instrument has been unable to meet modern power management needs, the development of a new power quality monitoring device, effective power monitoring, to ensure the security, stability, economic power, reliable operation is of great significance.This paper introduced one kind based on the dual DSP power quality monitoring device, and its hardware and software design thinking.
