As the most advanced automatic block system in China, the ZPW-2000 automatic block system is the production of Shenyang Railway Signal Factory, which is an innovation in French UM71 system and consequently owns the independent intellectual property rights. Among its components, transformers and inductors are the key parts. Therefore, how to test these parts appears quite important since their quality relates not only to the image of enterprise but to the safety of railway traffic.In this thesis, the automatic testing process of transformers and inductors in ZPW-2000 automatic block system is depicted in detail. Firstly, the principles and objectives of the system design are developed based on the study of current technologies and the analysis of enterprise's actual needs. Secondly, after detailed consideration of the structure and interface, the modules and workflow of IPC and single-chip are designed and realized respectly. Finally, the performance and error of the system are tested. The tested results show that it satisfies the real requirement of Shenyang Railway Signal Factory perfectly.Currently, there are many options of development platforms in the field of automatic test system's development. For IPC part, VB is picked due to its friendly interface, convenience, high reliability, full feature and easy maintenance and extensibility. And based on the embedded system's hardware/software co-design program, high-performance and low-cost ARM architecture is applied to the single-chip design, which not only reduces the cost but guarantees the great quality of ZPW-2000 automatic block system and the producing efficiency so that the producing process is made more reasonable, systematic and normalized. The outstanding point of this thesis is, according to existing resources, the third generation of automatic test system-integrated modular equipments auto-test system which is suitable for Shenyang Railway Signal Factory is implemented by using the popular embedded technology and VB.
