Application Of The Automatic Voltage Contrl System In Jiangmen Power Networks

Along with the increasing of electric load and the expansion of the power grid scale inthe Jiangmen Region,Auto Voltage Control system(AVC) which was commission since 2005gradually cannot meet the needs of voltage and reactive power's optimization control.Theduration of over-limit-voltage is too long,and the action times of compensatory devices is toofrequent.Therefore,We need to study and formulate a Scheme of Jiangmen Electric PowerSupply Bureau's AVC system Upgrade Reform,which improves the response speed ofover-limit-voltage and reduces the adjust times of on-load tap changing and capacitor, actuallyrealizes the targets of the whole Jiangmen electric power system's voltage and reactive poweroptimization control.In this dissertation firstly the status quo of voltage and reactive powercontrol in Jiangmen local power system is introduced briefly.Then a preliminary interpretationabout core algorithm,control technology and adjustment strategy of Jiangmen Electric PowerSupply Bureau's AVC system is given.At last this dissertation principally annlysis the history operational data and formulates aScheme of Jiangmen Electric Power Supply Bureau's AVC system Upgrade Reform which ison the basis of the deduction of formula and voltage control principles.Major measures of thescheme include:1)improve AVC system's program from single-threaded tomultithreading;2)upgrade hardware of AVC system to enhance data processing and responsespeed;3)add a short-term provisional block in the course of governing and controlcompensatory devices;4)set the main transforme's power factor value in AVC system base onthe load variation.Facts proves that AVC system of Jiangmen Electric Power Supply Bureau is morecompatible to the law of Jiangmen Region's varietal load after implementing the scheme ofAVC system Upgrade Reform.AVC system makes the voltage eligible rate of JiangmenRegion power grid increaseing distinctly and lessens the action times of compensatorydevices.It provides the guarantee for the power system's safety, economic and qualityoperation.
