Multiple rocket weapons were given an increasingly important mission in modern warfare, and the study for many types of multi-barrel rocket launchers was always in full swing. With the rapid development of virtual prototyping, rocket development cycle was effectively shorted and the test cost was reduced, however, the operation of the finite element simulation software was complicated during the design process. To address this issue, based on finite element software ABAQUS and its secondary development technology, this paper relied on a certain multi-barrel rocket launcher, launched the parametric modeling, modal analysis and dynamic analysis plug-in of the coupling model between rocket and launching tubes and the entire model, achieved fast parametric modeling, modal verification and dynamics simulation analysis.The main work of the paper is as follows:(1) the in-depth study of ABAQUS core python language and secondary development technology was carried on to lay the foundation for the subsequent parametric modeling and simulation. (2) the modeling, modal analysis plug-in of the coupling model between rocket and launching tubes and the entire model was launched to achieved fast parametric modeling and modal extraction through input parameters. At the same time, extraction modal results were compared with experimental data to verify the correctness and availability of the two models. (3) based on the coupling model between rocket and launching tubes, the simulation plug-in of the dynamics parameters was launched to analysis the firing accuracy impact of the different clearances between rocket and launching tubes with the lowest computational cost (compared to the entire model),and the result would be used to guide the dynamics simulation analysis of the entire rocket model. (4) the entire model simulation plug-in of the dynamics parameters was launched to analysis the firing accuracy and the dynamic response of the different pitch angles and trunnion lengths.This research and design method can effectively reduce the labor intensity, the simulation results provided guidance for the design of the multiple rocket, and a new innovative research idea and method was obtained for the similar weapon systems.
