The theory and method of terminal trajectory correction of mortar projectile based on pulse force control has been researched in this paper. And much work has been done to analyze the number of pulse engines to be ignited and the control strategy of pulse engine. Based on the research the control strategy of determination and correction twice is brought out. Then the system hardware architecture and software are analyzed, and hardware function diagram and software flow chart are also designed.First, the target detection principle of the four-quadrant detector using laser is researched, and the target detection model is built based on the research. The computing method of target azimuth and angle tracking error is also obtained.Secondly, the 6-DOF model of trajectory with pulse force correction at the end of the trajectory is established. The impact to flight stabilization of projectile with different number of pulse engines worked is analyzed using the established model. The factor affecting the correction ability of pulse force is simulated and analyzed. As a result the appropriate pulse engine parameters are determined.Again, the pulse engine control strategies were analyzed, involving fixed time correction and real-time correction. The pulse engine ignition time and number of engines to be ignited are mainly talked.Finally, through simulation and analysis to tracking error angle under none-correction condition, the method of determining the number of pulse engines is obtained, as fixed number of pulse engines and determining the number by judging the tracking error angle. Then both under correction and none-correction conditions, the tracking error angle is simulated and analyzed. With the simulation data, the control strategy of determination and correction twice is brought forward, and verification simulation is also made to the new method, the result shows that this method can complete the correction task perfectly. And system hardware block diagram and software flow chart is designed due to these theory and control method.
