Solid rocket engine is one of the most important part in the missile weapon system, which is called the"heart"of missile. In today's world, the solid rocket engine has 138 species which account for more than 80% of rocket engine in nearly 170 kinds of active service of tactical missile. It can be predicted that solid rocket engine will still in missile power device the dominant for quite a long time in the future. Solid rocket engine thrust vector is a space force vector, whose size and direction is changing, in order to ensure that the missile to launch a successful and accurate hit, it must master and control the size of solid rocket engine thrust through the strict production testing. Therefore, the precise measurement of the size of solid rocket engine thrust have great significance for the success using of the engine and further study.This paper reviewed the research development of thrust test device of solid rocket engine, the traditional test methods required more hardware equipment, the expensive cost, it is difficult to meet the accurate parameters of testing requirements of solid rocket motor in modern society.The third generation of automatic test system is the development direction of the NI virtual instrument software, the use of powerful function of the virtual instrument technology can construct all kinds of automatic test system quickly and accurately, which can make the analysis,processing and storage of test signal effectively. Based on the analysis of various forms test automation devices realize the principle, based on solid rocket engine thrust vector test system of the parameters of the proposed requirements and accuracy, taking computer as master control unit, graphical software LabVIEW as a software development platform to write test system software, under the precondition of the design of the system hardware related thrust automatic test systemwhich is based on PCI bus in data collection of solid rocket engine has been developped, and the overall design of verification and a lot of the static calibration experiment have been maked. This paper introduced the basic theory of virtual instrument firstly, then according to the actual need of the subject, the reasonable DAQ automatic test system has been designed, which also introduced solid rocket engine thrust of the testing system of various hardware components:the selection of the thrust, the design of sensor signal disposal circuit, the selection of data acquisition card etc.then combined with the latest graphical software platform LabVIEW2010, this paper describes realization process of the solid rocket engine thrust test software, based on the Matlab powerful data processing function of the test data in the thrust, a comprehensive analysis of the treatment has been made, each key values of thrust signal of the solid rocket engine has been got.Through accuracy analysis and continuously improved of test system during the test, the experiment data had reached design goal, and it is also verified the reliability and correctness of the thrust test system of the solid rocket engine, the automatic test system builded through the application of the virtual instrument technology can complete automatic test of physical strain, which reduce the testing cost, and improve the testing efficiency.
