Vehicle as one of the three pillar industries in recent years, it makes a rapid development. With the improvement of people's living standard, vehicle came gradually into the family of the common people. More and more vehicles in the people's life provide convenient, but also causes huge traffic hidden danger, vehicle security cause also more and more attention by people. The bus as a kind of vehicle which can load many people, when it rollover from the road, it is easy to make many people die or hurt, it also make a large of economic loss, and the accident is one of the high casualty rate. In recent years it become an issue of common concern.The article make a deep research on the European standards and regulations, ECE_R66. Based on European standards and regulations, ECE_R66, the article takes up with the research on stress of bus superstructure when rollover happens, sets up finite element model of the bus body section frame using HPERMESH, and simulates the rollover crash with non-Linear finite element analysis software LS-DYNA, verifies the validity of model building method by comparing the emulation result with the bus body section rollover crash test result, provides referenced foundation for structure improvement and optimization analysis Later.Starting from practical project purpose, here the author discusses the content and project of the test about the crash of the rollover bus body section, provides some valuable reference for those who want to do the similar experiment, deals with the data collecting from the experiment which will provide practical foundation for model building and validating.
