Along with the development of regional power grid the structure of the grid becomes more and more complicated. And due to the introduction of power market, itbecomes indispensable for the power suppliers to take effective measures to depress the cost of power transmission SO as to improve the benefit of their own. Nowadays, decentralized control is usually used to control the reactive voltage. This paper expresses the present situation of Quzhou grid's Reactive/Voltage controlling, and makes a design for AVC system. The coordinated control between AVC (automatic voltage control) sub- station system of Quzhou and AVC main station system of Zhejiang power grid is introduced in order to achieve the closed- loop operation of AVC system. The problems that should be taken in to account in the coordinated control are analyzed, and the characteristics of the coordinated control in Quzhou AVC system are summarized, which gives a reference for other areas to construct AVC control system. Through this system, the automation level, the reliability and the profitability of Quzhou power grid will be greatly improved.
