Glare is one of the important characteristic parameters of LED lighting, the topics focuse on LED glare characteristics, as well as the evaluation method of discomfort glare, Give the quantitative characterization and measurement methods for the key parameters, construct the glare measurement system and study the performance of CCD; In addition this paper shows a glare evaluation model and established a subjective evaluation model, take a measurement of typical LED with the method above. Analyze the glare model contrast to the subjective evaluation model.The first part describes the development of LED lighting and brightness measurements, human visual characteristics and glare problems; The second part introduce the unified glare rating(UGR),luminance meter three-dimensional imaging and measurement methods and compared between the LED glare evaluation and the traditional lighting glare; The third part initially proposed LED glare evaluation model and design the subjective evaluation test system; The fourth part describes the calibration.nonlinear correction and the dynamic range expansion of the CCD instrument, get the evaluation parameters with the method of Wavelet extraction; The fifth part test and vertify the LED glare evaluation model by the subjective evaluation experiment; The last part summarizes the work of the research on this subject and proposes the prospect of future study.
