This paper is based on Cross Power Transmission Line Construction Regulations (DL/T5106-1999), Regulation of safety Operation in Power Engineering Construction (Part of power transmission line) and the Construction Scheme of Installing 6-bundled conductor. To improve the construction efficiency, Remote Controlled Helium Airship Stringing Cable Technique is adopted on the construction of±800kV UHV DC Line from Yunnan to Guangdong, taking the safety, economy and environmental into account.The practicability and economy of the Construction Scheme using Remote Controlled Helium Airship Stringing Cable Technique is evaluated by investigation, research and the integrated economy evaluation. It states the selection of equipments, the judgment of weather, the process of construction, the stringing of cable, the preparation of construction and matters need the attention in the construction. The construction suggests that the Technique can lower the labor force with high safety and economy, improve the efficiency with little impact to the environment. There is a bright prospect for the Remote Controlled Helium Airship Stringing Cable Technique in the UHV line construction.
