Train traction converter system as a high-power energy flow control device, plays an important role in the train system, and it's also one of the main electromagnetic interference sources in the train system whose influence to the electromagnetic environment can't be ignored. So, in this thesis, author does some research on the electromagnetic compatibility of it, the research mainly divide into the following several aspects.First of all, author analyses the dynamic switching characteristics of the IGBT which is the main switching device in the converter system. Then, the thesis discusses the influence of the switching characteristics to the output signals when the state of the switch tubes changed, and the relationship between the switch frequency and the harmonic frequency.Secondly, this thesis expounds the structure of traction converter system. According to the switch function theory, this thesis analyzes the operating principle, circuit topology structure and way of working of the single-phase three-level rectifier and three-phase three-level inverter. The simulation modules are built based on Matlab/S imulink.Then, this thesis discusses the basic principle of the mainstream modulation mode PWM. For rectifier and inverter adopts different PWM way, author builds their respective simulation modules, realizes the three-level SPWM simulation and three level S VPWM simulation.On the Simulink platform, author builds a complete traction rectifier and inverter simulation model, analyzes the waveform in time domain and frequency domain of the current, voltage, discusses the signal characteristics such as harmonic, common-mode interference, etc. And, the thesis analyzes the EMC characteristics of the model based on the simulation data. Moreover, the motor-side common-mode EMI is analyzed by measuring the common-mode disturbances on the input cable of the YJ87A motor. The validity of simulation system has also been proved by the test data of inverter output EMI test in Bosch automotive electronic test center.Finally, the thesis discusses how to suppress the EMI of the converter system and puts forward the prospects for future work.
