The vigorous development of the automobile industry in China had promoted the rapid development of lead-acid battery industry. Higher requirements for lead-acid battery enterprises in the production license, the health safety protection distance and environmental protection measures were put forwarded by nine national ministries such as National Ministry of Environmental Protection, National Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and so on which had launched a special environment protection remediation activity at present, the lead-acid battery industry were forced to be reshuffling and about 90% enterprises will be closed, and the rest qualification enterprises will have great developing opportunity. ML lead acid battery had been forced to stop production for lack of the health safety protection distance, and the open type lead acid battery manufactured by the factory was prohibited and must be eliminated at Jan.,1,2013. Therefore, the lead acid battery production line in ML factory must be revamped for capacity expansion to upgrade its products and meet the environment protection requirements.In the article, the technical advantages of the target products and the feasibility of the technical schemes for maintenance free lead acid battery revamp project for capacity expansion in ML factory were demonstrated, the market demand of the target products and the company orientation were analyzed by means of investigation, comparison and so on, the construction scheme of the project was designed by using the mature construction scheme of production line according to the Access Conditions For Lead Acid Battery issued by the government, the financial feasibility of the project was analyzed by using investment recovery period method, financial net present value method, method of analysis of balance of profit and loss and so on, and the maintenance free lead acid battery revamp project for capacity expansion in ML factory was finally demonstrated to be feasible.
