Since infrared simulation software comes into existence, the infrared simulation technology has been developing rapidly and shown the characteristics of a high complexity and a high update rate.Focusing on the imperfections of the current infrared simulation software in analyzing the characteristics of target ground armored vehicles, this paper will study it by carrying out the research mainly on the four aspects below:In order to solve the problem of infrared simulation software in slow calculation, a new kind of fast conduction algorithm based on dimension reduction method is proposed to speed up the infrared simulation software on computing. It means to have the three-dimensional transient conduction equation simplified to a two-dimensional conduction equation and a one-dimensional conduction equation coupled numerical solution. The simulation results show that the algorithm has high precision, and can accelerate the calculation speed when compared with the traditional solution method. It is of great significance to quickly predict temperature and infrared radiation of the complex target.Armored vehicles and ground background geometry models are established to calculate the thermal interaction between armored vehicles and terrain background under the three different conditions, especially under the tank thermal dynamic situation. By simulating a tank moving on the road, we can get the subsidence phenomenon and thermal trace due to friction and other factors on the road.Based on the infrared radiation theory, and taking into a full consideration of its self-radiation, reflective radiation, and atmospheric transmission characteristics, the calculation module of the target infrared radiation is established to analyze the distributing characteristics of infrared radiation between target tank and background in different time periods and conditions. Besides, it is highly effective to have the target infrared radiation image infused with the background infrared radiation image.By combing the data derived from simulating the infrared radiation characteristics of the vehicle and ground background with Computer Graphics and Computer Graphics Interactive Technology, it creates the three-dimensional dynamic simulation software of displaying the detector region of terminal sensitive projectile. It studies the process of terminal sensitive infrared detectors in detecting the target ground vehicles. This kind of software provides an extremely effective and economic way to simulate and present the process of terminal sensitive, and is crucial to the stealth design and stealth technology assessment of ground target.
