As a significant branch of vibrational engineering, Experimental Modal Analysis (EMA) is the basis of structural dynamic design.EMA software is a kind of practical visual software used to identify structural modal parameters by the real measuring data. This paper has focused on the modal parameter identification method in frequency domain, and has developed the EMA software. The following are the main contents of this paper:The first chapter discusses the development of EMA and its software at home and abroad, explains the research objectives and significance, and proposes the research contents and methods. The second chapter describes the basic theories of EMA and modal parameter identification method in frequency domain, proposes a specific way of getting the modal parameters, and verifies a kind of discrete orthogonal polynomial curve fitting method by emulation. The third chapter constructs of the framework the EMA system, including the hardware and software parts. The fourth chapter describes a specific scheme to develop the EMA software, which including three-dimensional modeling\modal analysis as well as motion simulation, introduces the development tools,i.e. Visual C plus plus and OpenGL, and specifies the way of parameter identification in modal analysis. The fifth chapter validates of the EMA software by comparing to ANSYS.The last chapter summarizes this paper and prospects the following research.
