Architectural Form Research Of The Traditional Large Houses In Shaoyang

Residential buildings occupies a very large proportion in the existing local traditional constructions, they directly reflect the local culture of universal significance. Large Houses is a traditional representative form of residential buildings, compared to ordinary houses, large house building is a representative residence forms, the building space form, masonry technology and decorative arts was more concentrated expression, was more attention and protection by the villagers, the large houses experienced ancient times and has been preserved. In this paper, the existing large houses of Shaoyang area as the starting point of traditional building, sorting out the more complete and clear system frame of traditional constructions in Shaoyang region for the complete and true protection of architectural heritage, continuing the fine tradition of building quality reference.Shaoyang region, locates in the southwest of Hunan Province, has the largest population in Hunan Province. Shaoyang area has long history, the city had been established for 2500 years. With the complex and geography conditions and the culture of native and immigration, it gestated a special kind of culture, which contains the nature and the society factor. This local culture is reflected in the local architecture. The traditional architecture of the region is an important part of the native culture.In this article, taking the large houses in Shaoyang region of existing residential building as the research object, after a lot of field work, using a wealth of information on the summary of the survey and summarized in the large houses. First of all, outlines the natural environment and social and historical situation of Shaoyang region; Secondly, from the architectural point of view, shape in space, structures, detailed decoration and other aspects of building the large houses in Shaoyang specific shape; Thirdly, the traditional large houses in Shaoyang area exposure in nature, society, history and other factors influence the macro-culture among the trace to its source, the large houses in this area of architectural form implied characterization of local characteristics and regional culture.
