In this paper, author put the event that Fujian brick building application the“World Heritage Tentative List” as the background, based on the Putian HanjiangTown area, using the methods about fieldwork, mapping, literature analyzed,interviews record, charts analyzed, etc. research the architectural features of thetraditional houses in this area, summarize its architectural morphologicalcharacteristics, as the supplement and enrich to the basic information of the researchof architectural form of traditional residential building in Fujian Putian district.The first part is the foundation of theoretical. Mainly on elaborate the researchobjects, the research background, the research methods, etc. And to read, organize,summarize and analyze about the related literature. Then provides a solid researchfoundation to this study.The second part is the research and analysis. Firstly, the paper analyzed in termsof the constituent elements of architectural space, the basic layout and differentiationof the building, as well as the physical characteristics of the different layout of thespace, etc. In order to understand the building layout and physical characteristics ofthe traditional residential architecture in this film area; Secondly, the paper analyzesthe structure and the materials and forms of the main roof, wall and pedestal of thebuilding, in order to understand the technical and structural form of the traditionalresidential architecture in this film area; Finally, this paper analyzes the Wood carving,brick carving, stone carving, painted and the other architectural decorative arts, andthe cultural identity they implied, in order to understand the region’s architecturaldecorative features.The third part is make the conclusion. Thus present the architectural morphological characteristics in this filmarea from the surface to the specific nature. I hope to provide some basis about the regional traditional architecture’sprotection and restoration to the Fujian Putian district through this study, Whileproviding some basic information to the study of local traditional architecture, and inorder to reflect on contemporary architecture, Providing some reference to the localregional architectural design in the future, making the Pu Xian ancient architecturestudies richer, contribute my little power to heritage the Precious heritage of mankind.
