Up-stream type tailings dam as the main structure of China's mining enterprises tailings reservoir project has a long history.Embankment dam seepage line is too high, and the dam stability is poor, the normal operation of the tailings is only about70%.So the tailings reinforcement technique never stopped.In recent years, the rapid development of geosynthetics in our country, widely used in irrigation works, roads, railways, environmental protection and other infrastructure projects, has become following timber, steel and cement, the fourth largest materials in the field of chinese building materials.and is known as a revolution of the field of geotechnical engineering. In this paper,the reinforcement technology research of "huameiao" tailing reservoir,the use of geosynthetics and the geotextile bags filled with sand dam technology, can effectively reduce the saturation line, improve the safety factor of tailing dam.The paper is a successful application verification of geosynthetics in mining enterprise project.and the analysis and demonstration of up-stream type tailings dam.Geosynthetics successfully used in tailings reservoir reinforcement project, indicates geosynthetics will be widely used in mining enterprises to start a new chapter.
