Research On The Changes And Construction Of Rural Landscape Under Tourism Intervention

This paper focusing on the intervention which about modern tourism involving in the rural landscape, discuss the whole process of this intervention. Full text is divided into7chapters. Chapter1for the introduction; Chapter2involve in the formulation of the basic theory; Chapters3and4for the selection and analytical of cases; Chapter5and6as the main parts of this study; Chapter7for conclusion.The whole text begin with the formulation of background; After introducing the connotation of basic concepts and the present reality in China, which involved in this study, put forward a point of view that because of the intervention of modern tourism, the changing rural landscape under industrialization and urbanization resulting transition.The section of cases studies firstly expressing the contributing factors of rural tourism and the rurality of rural tourism destination, on the basic of which and by the discrimination involving in concepts which have been discussed before, Wuhan has been focused on and some rural tourism destinations, which separately famous for settlement landscape, economic landscape and natural landscape, have been selected in this area. Then some comprehensive studies of three cases of rural tourism destinations by filed work have been taken.The section of main research generalize the changes of rural landscape at four aspects of settlement landscape, economic landscape, natural landscape and cultural landscape, which have been taken placed by the intervention of modern tourism; Then result driving factors of changes for which is establishing specific image of rural tourism destination, improving the accessibility, satisfying different kinds of demands by tourist, expecting a quick financial payoff and getting support from tourist for agricultural industry; The consequences of changes are summed up as private space public and public space personal, private space public be reflected in more identifiable image of rural landscape, tourism activities and different life styles of local residents in rural area, public space personal be out of the economic perspective and the personal preference of decision makers.Then the positive effects on rural landscape are abstracted, which have been brought about by tourism development, that rendering external assistance to the construction of rural landscape, establishing a identifiable image of rural settlement landscape, improving the infrastructure conditions of rural area, providing jobs for local resident in rural area who might have worked in big cities, supporting agricultural industry and instilling new vitality in to the cultural life of rural area; The problems of changes presented are summed up as scale opposition of construction, contradiction of accessibility and differentiation of architectural form and function, all of which can be further resulted in the rurality of rural tourism destination; Finally, referring to the topic of rural construction for discussion, modern tourism can be regarded as a opportunity for the construction of rural landscape, which have been discussed at three related aspects of tourism improving residential environment of rural area, supporting agricultural industry and participating in cultural life of rural area.
