With the development of CAD technology, internet technology, database technology and the improvement of industrial standardization, standard parts library as a tool of improving design efficiency and design level has been used more widely in mechanical product design. But now the higher requirements about standard parts library of designers and enterprises could not be met by some standard parts libraries, such as stand-alone standard parts library, only used in local area network standard parts library, and some of the standard parts library based on Web, which are facing a single CAD platform, including incomplete information, expanding difficultly, limiting in search way, and having no3D browsed online. Therefore, a standard parts library which can share design resources in different places, support the product collaborative design, provide the download of standard parts, browse3D model dynamically, help designers to design and manufacture products quickly should be built to improve the team's co-work capability and play a particularly important role in development of machinery manufacturing industry.The development of three-dimensional mechanical standard parts library based on B/S is studied in this thesis. Firstly, research status of standard parts library at home and abroad are analyzed by reading a large number of literatures, the existing problems of the domestic standard parts library are summarized, the purpose and significance of this thesis are explained, some related theories such as data exchange standard, collaborative work and collaborative design, C/S and B/S, parametric modeling techniques and UGNX secondary development technology are introduced. Secondly, the architecture of manufacturing information platform is presented, the system structure is determined and system function modules are divided through needs analysis of standard parts library system, system work flow is also given by this thesis, database design is done at the same time. Then, the key technology of system is made in-depth research. The process of building parametric model is introduced by example, leading-in of the Excel data and access method of binary data in SQL Server database are described. The remote parametric design of standard parts is achieved through calling the external EXE files which are made by using the external model development of VC++6.0. To expand the using of standard parts library, the different file formats exchange of standard parts model is realized by using UGNX's data exchange interface and secondary development technology. Basing on the visual technology, the function of co-browsing3D JT model is achieved. Finally, the development of system interfaces is completed, while the running instances are also given.The three-dimensional mechanical standard parts library based on B/S model is finally developed with VC++6.0, Visual Studio2008and SQL Server2005as the main development tools. This standard parts library which improves the design efficiency and quality of mechanical products, shortens the development cycle has a certain engineering significance and practical value.
