Urban forest park has very high tourism value because of its adavantaged natural landscape, superior ecological enveronment and rich humane resources, and it's an important type of ecotourism area in China. But in resent years, the overexploitation of tourism makes many ecotourism destination turn "sunlight industry" into the road of destructively development and construction which even leads irremediable loss. Under the severe situation, the protection planning of tourism resources becomes into an significant part in planning of forest park with some instructive function. Methods of the paper are public questionnaire investigation and ecological suitability assessment. The construction of Zhengzhou Forest Park is according to the research on its transformation and protection planning. The findings are as follows:1. Current landscape situation of Zhengzhou Forest ParkZhengzhou Forest Park blongs to the ancient wadi area of Yellow River. The present vegetation landscape ia bad, and the forest form mainly are artificial mixed forest and pure forest. The more excellent landscape resources is locust forest when governing the dune of Yellow River at the 1950s. The whole Landscape of the park status is simple and boring with unreasonable layout, and the forest form is single with infrequent ground cover plants, so that the ecological effects of forest landscape is bad.2. Survey on public participation of transformation and protection planning of Zhengzhou Forest ParkBased on the landscape situation of Zhengzhou Forest Park and summarizing Literatures, select indexes of the questionnaire as following three parts:the basical information of respondents, the evalutation of landscape situation, and the suggestions on transformation and protection planning. Through the statistical analysis on investigation results, we consider that:(1) the investigation subjects is common and repetitive. (2) the evalutation of respondents on the landscape situation is at generally low. (3) for the transformation and protection planning, respondents widely suggest that the governance of ancient wadi area of Yellow River should be enhanced, the landscape resources with good situation should be protected, ecological benefit should be strengthened, and the exploitation of commercial activity should be reduced.3. The ecological suitability assessment of Zhengzhou Forest Park Adopting mathematical combination method and GIS technology, according to the actual situation of Zhengzhou Forest Park, select evaluation factors and build evaluation index system. Entergrating superposition of multi-factor with the weight of a single factor method.Obtain each evaluation unit's appropriate value.According to the government four classifications of ecological suitability, with natural classification, generating an ecological suitability analysis map based on GIS. Among them, the first area of 175,345.1 square meters with 5.8% of the total area; second area of 2,048,769.4 square meters with 68.3% of the total area; third area of 408,020.4 square meters with 13.6% of the total area; four area of 368,018.4 square meters with 12.3% of the total area.4. The transformation and protection planning of Zhengzhou Forest ParkComprehensive public opinion surveys and results of ecological suitability analysis of Zhengzhou Forest Park, combined with the status of landscape resources of park, proposed transformation of the landscape protection planning of Zhengzhou Forest Park, which planning principles:the principles of featured and native plant conservation; the principles of ecology priorities and sustainable development; people-oriented principle; the principle of harmonization. Landscape structure:one heart, one ring, two belts, seven districts. Planning points are:To protect the existing governance of ancient wadi area of Yellow River; To improve the natural landscape of forest and focus on the use of native species; To do well in creating water and protecting animals in the forest.
