As a "natural service system", whether urban parks can service the residents isan important indicator of measuring level of city modernization the development.Accessibility of urban parks is an important indicator in urban green space system;it is the best embodiment of fairness and equality of resource access. Study ofaccessibility of urban parks can provide decision for reasonable planning, construction, structure optimization of urban green space. It has importantsignificance to improve the utilization ratio of urban parks, more effective todevelop the service function of urban parks. This paper uses remote sensing (RS) and geographic information system (GIS)technology to the research of accessibility of Changzhou urban parks andsummarizes the theories and the further exploration. Cost-weighted distancemethod uses the node connection and iterative operation. Network analysis methodbased on geographic network to analyze the accessibility of urban parks. Threemethods calculate the accessibility and population of study area, and analyze theparkland layout in Changzhou, then conclude that:(1) In5minutes, the result is: buffer analysis method> cost-weighted distancemethod> network analysis method;5-15minute,15-30minute,30-60minute, resultsare: buffer analysis method> network analysis method> cost-weighted distancemethod. In60minutes, the result of buffer analysis method is the maximumbecause it directly calculates the radius buffer, but results of cost-weighteddistance and analytic network method are smaller, because of calculating byjoining other factors. In5-60minutes, network analysis method is based on roadnetwork, and cost-weighted distance method is according to different land usetypes to calculate the accessibility, considering more factors (based on land usetypes and road), so the result is less than the network analysis method.(2) The results: to30minutes as a border, the proportion and the rangepopulation for buffer analysis is43.73%and71.04%, cost-weighted distanceanalysis is20.42%and41.19%, and the results of the network analysis method is24.61%and50.16%.Though the result of buffer analysis method is the best, but theresult is based on the calculation of the buffer radius, not taking into considerationthe factors reality. The results of two methods are more true and reliable, closed tothe actual situation, objectively can reflect the accessibility levels of urban parks.(3) The results of accessibility by three methods analysis show thatdistribution of urban parks is not uniform in study area. Accessibility of urban parks in Zhonglou and Tianning district is better because of parks are focused, butthe western of Zhonglou district and the eastern of Tianning district need to bestrengthened. Parks are focused in the southeastern of Qishuyan district;accessibility of the other area is not good. The New north and Wujin district arelarger but smaller number of parks, accessibility is not good in the area away fromurban parks.(4) Based on the above analysis, can construct small parks in center areas, soas to enhance the visual diversity. On the outskirts areas of urban, can constructlarge country parks combined with the natural condition. In short, should takevarious factors into account, use of terrain advantages and residents' needs, to planurban parks appropriately.
