This research studied tree height, DBH and volume traits among11Populus deltoidesclones of8years born in Sihong,Siyang County of Jiangsu Province and Yueyang County ofHunan Province. On the basis of conducted a genetic analysis of growth traits on11clones ofPopulus deltoides, this study carried out the research of Populus deltoides genotype byenvironment interaction.3sites experimental results showed that tree height, DBH and volumegrowth traits are both significant variation among and within Populus deltoids clones.Geneticvariance was larger than the environmental variance, so key sources of variability came fromgenetic basis. Tree height among0.5431-0.9531, DBH among0.5568-0.9571and volumeamong0.6201-0.9646is the luffing of3traits heritability in3sites. Tree height among8.63-10.27%, DBH among8.24-17.33%and volume among20.54-36.36%is the luffing of3traits phenotypic variation coefficients in3sites. Tree height among7.57-8.42%, DBH among8.07-13.89%and volume among20.21-28.85%is the luffing of3traits genetic variationcoefficient in3sites. Volume variance is higher than DBH variance, tree height variation is thelowest. The results of3sites experimental showed that1-20,2-2,4-6and4-50Populusdeltoides clones' growth character is the biggest. Tree height, DHB and volume traits allshowed the obvious advantage.3sites comprehensive variance analysis results showed there is a significant interactionbetween clones and sites on tree height, DBH and volume and other traits. In the process ofgenotype and environmental interaction analysis, we found growth traits of tree height, DBHand volume gene effects for different clones, so environmental effects were also significantlydifferent. Genotype and environment interaction effects due to location or clonal changes. Thegrowth traits of Populus deltoides genotype and environment interaction patterns in3sitesanalysis results show that DBH traits, tree height and volume traits were contains both type Band type D. This study uses Finlay and Wilkinson model analyze the stability of growth traits in3sites. Through Populus deltoides clones performance analyze regression by average ofenvironment, estimated regression coefficients. The higher regression coefficient is, the moresensitive responses to the environment, thus this clone has a low stability. On the contrary, Thelower regression coefficient is, the less sensitive responses to the environment, thus this clonehas a high stability. Stability analysis shows that different growth traits of various clones in3sites has different stability, thus there are significant differences among clones in stability.Comparison of4well growth clones,2-2and4-50showed good stability in3growth traits, insensitivity to the different environmental, thus can be a large regional varieties. While1-20and4-6clones have good growth traits, the clonal stability poorer than the previous two clones,especially1-20clones, in DBH and volume traits showed poor stability characteristic, but in acertain conditions growth traits showed outstanding advantages.
