Since the 90's, with the growth of the population and the improvement of science, problems such as resources, environment and population have become increasingly prominent and human subsistence and development is facing a huge threat, at the same time, global change has become a focus of international community. Among them, the land-use change mechanism has become the main factor which affects global changes. However, natural geography is always focused on in the research of land-use change and quantitative analysis on human geography is to certain extent missing in China.This paper takes the example of Wuchuan City which is located in west coastal areas of Guangdong Province. The natural factors and human factors are integrated comprehensively; the terrain and traffic conditions are introduced and the influence of land use change situation under these two factors with quantitative methods is analyzed. The results of this study are as follows:(1) The changes of the structure, the transfer and the dynamic speed in Wuchuan between the year of 2005 and 2010 were analyzed with the application of GIS spatial analysis techniques and quantitative analysis methods. Analysis showed that:a significant adjustment of land use was occurred in Wuchuan, while the quantities of the land use transfer are huge and various land types transferred frequently and dramatically.(2)With the introduction of GIS spatial analysis and DEM (Digital Terrain Model), the impact of terrain factors on the land use change of Wuchuan City is analyzed overall and systematically from the perspective of qualitative and quantitative. During the intense process of Land use change, terrain factors influenced land use change significantly. The distribution of land use, land use transfer, and land use change speed showed different temporal and spatial variation at different topographic levels.(3) Basing on the map of Wuchuan's main transit network and the data of spacial land-use change, we extracted the integrated date of traffic buffers and land use on the basis of traffic conditions by using GIS spatial overlay and buffer analysis. Besides, from the quantitative analysis of the impact of transit line on land-use change, We obtained that during the process of land-use change in Wuchuan City, the traffic conditions plays a significant role on the land-use change which mainly work as a strong spatial attraction and the effect of spatial variation.(4) Through analyzing the impact on the land use change under the factors of terrain and traffic conditions, some land laws on the land distribution, land transfer rate and the rate of change are obtained. Thereby, the problems exist in the process of land-use are analyzed and some control measures are proposed according to the programmes.
