In order to understand the distribution characteristics of prolactin-releasing peptide (PrRP) in hypothalamus-pituitary-gonadal axis of Guangxi native buffalo, Guangxi Local cattle, Holstein, Hybrid-murrah buffalo, learn the differences among species and sexes, then infer the role that PrRP plays on different breeds and sexes bovine, I use hematoxylin-eosin staining, histotomy, immunohistochemistry techniques and the image analysis, statistical analysis methods to detect PrRP in hypothalamus-pituitary-gonadal axis of different breeds bovine, hope to provide theoretical basis and make a contribution to the development of guangxi cattle raising industry. Results show that:1. PrRP is widely located in hypothalamus-pituitary-gonadal axis of Guangxi native buffalo, Guangxi Local cattle, Holstein, Hybrid-murrah buffalo.2. The tendency of the distribution characteristics of PrRP in hypothalamus-pituitary-gonadal axis is that males contain more PrRP than females. It indicates that PrRP may play an important role on male bovine and be related to the body weight and body fat percentage.3. PrRP is widely located in hypothalamus, so that it can be involved in all kinds of physiological activities hypothalamus regulated. There is no obvious difference among species.4. In adenohypophysis, most PrRP is located in pars distalis, it shows that PrRP can affect to prolactin cells and growth hormone cells immediately, involve in the secretion and releasing of this two hormones; There is no PrRP in thyrotroph cells, gonadotroph cells and adrenocorticotropic cells, indicating that PrRP doesn't regulate these hormones directly, there might be some other regulative ways exist; The absence of PrRP in the neurohypophysis shows that PrRP isn't released into neurohypophysis directly, it may be released into blood directly by paraventricular nucleus then enter into blood circulation. Species and sex have an important effect on the expression of PrRP in the pituitary gland.5. In ovary, PrRP mainly distribute luteinized cells and granulosa cells, indicating that PrRP may act on ovary directly, influence the secretion and releasing of estrogen, so that it can be involved in physiological activities, such as follicle maturing, ovulating and corpus luteum forming.6. There is a good deal of PrRP in the seminiferous tubules and leydig, indicating that PrRP may act on testis directly, influence the secretion and releasing of androgens and promote formation and maturation of sperm.
