With the rapid development of mechanics, micro electronics, computer, wireless communication and intelligent automation, the theoretical and applied research on WSN (Wireless Sensor Network) has been done a lot. This paper is about the research on the Wireless Sensor Network applied in the drip irrigation control system..This paper firstly summarizes the research status on irrigation control technology and WSN technology and the future research trend, designs a wireless collecting system applied in a Nantong Ecology park's irrigation control system and gives the system architecture.Then the author designs and implements the hardware and software of wireless sensor network nodes in detail. The sensor nodes and the sink nodes are divided into some modules, including CPU module, radio frequency module, Flash module, sensing module, solar power module, Profibus-DP communication module and etc. Software is designed in the TinyOS operating system by nesC language. Software design bases on components, which includes AODV routing protocol, time synchronization, and some other application programmes.Finally, the paper writes an OPC client to let the wireless sensor networks and WinCC communicate and debugs the hardware and software, and discusses some problems in debugging.The solution proposed for drip irrigation control can be deployed and worth to be advised.
