Ecological protection is taking various measures to protect the ecological system where humanbeings are surviving from vandalism to guarantee normal ecological function of the ecosystem.Ecosystem is the general term for a specific environment and all species living in. Forest ecosystem,the most important natural ecosystem for human being, is the world's largest terrestrial ecosystemarea as well as the essential material basis for human survivals, and the core for forestry economic,social and ecological benefits. Vigorously develop the forestry industry can achieve high-efficientmultifunction of forest resources; make forestry as the leading core industry of China. It has a hugepractical significance for achieving our sustainable development, building a moderately prosperoussociety and forming a win-win situation for China's ecology and economic development.We must recognize, however, that China's total forest resources are still in a serious shortageand the overall function of the forest ecosystem is still very fragile. Ecological problems are still themost prominent one affecting the implementation of China's sustainable development strategy.Therefore, it has important strategy significance to maintenance China's ecological, energy andeconomic security as long as enhance the overall function of forest ecosystem and achieve thevirtuous circle of natural ecological and socio-economic development. It is the reform of stateowned forest ownership system that can solve this problem, which is also a critical approach torevitalize our forestry industry.This paper mainly studies the ecological protection problems concerning on the reform ofcollective forest ownership system. The paper consists of five sections. The first section introducesthe background, significance, main content and methods of the study. The second section focuses onecological problems revealed from the reform. To begin with, I had a brief summary of the statusand achievements of the reform, and articulated ecological protection reflected in the reform, toprovide a conceptual basis for further discussion of issues related to below. Then, I combed thegeneral history of China's state owned forest ownership system. Furthermore, I emphasized theessences of the reform. Finally, I summarized the practical achievements of the reform. The third section lists the cases of state forest ecological protection in foreign developed countries to analyzethe experience we can gain for our reform. The forth section promotes advices and suggestions onestablishing and improving ecological protection for the reform. In the last section, based on thestudy before, I concluded the radical policy to avoid the negative influence to ecological securitywhen reforming is accelerate the legislative work, improve the legal condition of China's forestry,establish forestry property rights system to enhance the construction of forest ownership transfersystem and implement forest ecological benefit compensation and subvention system.
