Investigation Of The Table-Grapes In Yangling

Twenty table grape varieties: Crimson Seedless, Italia, Christmas Rose, Shingno Smile,Muscat Kyoho, Rizamat, Manicure Finger, Yatomi Rosa, Huang Mei Gui, Himrod Seedless,Xiang Yue, Takao Selection, Hu Tai8Hao, Kyoho, Victoria, Augusta, Zao Hei Bao, Wu HeZao Hong, Hompson Seedless, Centennial Seedless were studied in2011in Yangling area. Allthe vines were planted in the open field and dealt with the fruit bagging technique. Weinvestigated the phenological phase, the botanical traits, economic properties, the quality ofberries and the disease resistance of these twenty varieties in order to offer some preliminaryscientific supports for the table grape introduction works. All the vines were planted in theopen field and dealt with the fruit bagging technique.The results show:1. In the climate condition of Yangling area, the twenty varieties' budbreak stage wereduring the first half of april. The blooming stage of these ten varieties which bloomed wereduring May.15thto June.3rd. The five varieties which were setting fruit are mid-late maturityvarieties. The varing stage and harvesting stage of Huang Mei Gui were earlier than the otherfour varietie.2. The character of the twenty varieties' young shoot and young Leaf is different. For thecharacter of fruit, the cluster weight of Kyoho was biggest, the grain weight of Hu Tai8Haowas biggest. Muscat Kyoho's berry hardness was worse than others.3. During the period of maturity, the sugar content increased while the acid contentdeclined.The sugar-acid ratio of Huang Mei Gui was higher than other four varieties. It has aspecial aroma of Muscat. The highest sugar content was Hu Tai8Hao.4. Except Kyoho, other varieties' budbreak rates were below fifty percent.Kyoho'sfruiting shoot rate was also higher than others. Huang Mei Gui as the only variety of VitisVinifera vine which was setting fruit grew strong. Its concurrent degree of berries' ripeness isbeneficial to harvesting.5. Generally, the French-American hybrid vine's disease resistance is better than VitisVinifera vine's. Kyoho, Hu Tai8Hao and Shingno Smile have the best comprehensive diseaseresistance in these twenty varieties. Different French-American hybrid vine variety hasdifferent disease resistance. Fruit bagging technique can effectively reduce the incidence of fruit diseases.In conclusion, Kyoho and Hu Tai8Hao as local main cultivars which have an excellentcomprehensive character has a large cultivated area. Even if Muscat Kyoho and Huang MeiGui's comprehensive character is not as good as Kyoho and Hu Tai8Hao, they have a specialaroma "Muscat" and Huang Mei Gui is a variety of middle maturity. So they have a good topromotion and need have a deep study.
