| This paper will focus on two topics, namely, the law governing the growth anddevelopment of white ewe goat in northern Shaanxi Province and comparative analysis ofeconomic benefit of different feeding patterns. The first experiment:the study on the law governing the growth and developmentof white ewe goat in northern Shaanxi ProvinceThe paper aims to discover the law that the body size, weight, fiber length, cashmereyield of ewe goat change with age, so as to provide basic parameter and theoretical basis forthe reasonable production of white ewe goat in northern Shaanxi. With white ewe goat innorthern Shaanxi raised in the seed stock station as the object of study, the study explores theinfluence the age of ewe goat in northern Shaanxi exerts on its body size, weight, fiber lengthand cashmere yield through statistic analysis of1103production record of ewe goat from2009to2011. The findings are as follows:I. Four parameters of the body size of ewe goat shows rapid growth before2years old, slower growth from3-5years old, growth arrest after5years old, because the4parametershave reached the adult level at this period of time and will maintain the steady state.II.The weight of ewe goat shows a rapid growth before3years old, with average growthrate per year amounting to40percent. The weight of it reach adult leve(l29.32kg±4.73) at3years old. The weight of ewe goat increase slowly, maintaining at29.32kg±4.73~31.63kg±6.38, with average growth rate per year amounting to2.5percent.III. The yield of cashmere and fiber length enjoy rapid growth rate before3years old,and reach the peak at3years old. When it is4years old, the growth rate of the yield ofcashmere and fiber length will decrease at different rate, among which the yield of cashmeredecrease with the increase of age, while the length of fiber decrease a little bit from4-8yearsold comparing with that of3years old, with wavy changes at different age. The second experiment: Comparative analysis of the economic benefit of differentfeeding patterns of ewe goat in northern Shaanxi.Comparative analysis of the economic benefit of different feeding patterns of ewe goat innorthern Shaanxi is conducted to provide basic parameter and theoretical basis for theselection of reasonable feeding patterns and the spread of the pattern of white ewe goat innorthern Shaanxi. The comparative analysis has been conducted on the production modeunder different production conditions, with42goat farmers and small farms as study objects. The experiment shows:I. According to the importance attached to cashmere and meat, the production modes ofewe goat in northern Shaanxi can be concluded as "fatlamb production mode","castrated goatproduction mode" and "mixed production mode".II. The frequency that the three production modes are employed are as11.90%,71.43%and16.67%.III. Production value of mutton goat amounts to80%among the general output valueunder6production conditions.IV. Under the two production modes, the economic benefit of "2year,3productions"and "3year,4productions" breeding patters are2.01,1.71,3.21,2.71times respectively ofthat of "1production,1year".V. Among the3breeding patterns, the economic benefit of "fatlamb production mode"are1.87,1.18and1.17times of that of "castrated goat production mode". Comparativeanalysis reveals that "fatlamb production mode" companying with dense breeding systemcharacterized by high breeding efficiency is the best way to boost economic benefit of raisingewe goat. |
