This paper is mainly about test and theoretical analysis research on corn straw's movement rule when it is in the horizontal type. Through the mathematical statistic method and the image path analysis research, the paper researches the contact among working parameters of horizontal cut sets, corn-stalk shredding effect and corn stalks' movement rule in horizontal type. Study and analysis primary and secondary factors influencing corn-stalk shredding effect and their action principle. The research provides theoretical support for the improvement of the horizontal corn stalk crushing equipment, and to provides a reference for other forms of corn stalk crushing devices.Use mechanics and kinematics analysis means to conduct theoretical research on working principle of horizontal corn stalks cut sets, and on main working parameters of corn harvest test platform, such as high-speed roller, knife speed, etc. Sift factors which may influence stem chopped effect to conduct a pilot study.The analysis identified five factors influencing cut rate as the experimental factors to do orthogonal design. The experimental factors are as follows: picker roller speed, feeding position, feeding speed, cutting knife speed (speed of knife axis) and cutter position. Use the cutting knife speed as the reference standard, because picker roller speed is related to the ear loss rate during the harvest concerned, feeding speed level sets in accordance with the currently common vehicle speed of corn harvester and the cutter position level sets based on theoretical analyses and experimental analysis.The results of orthogonal experiment found that all of picker roller speed, feeding position, feeding speed, cutting knife speed (speed of knife axis) and cutter position have an impact on cut rate.Analysis the image of high speed camera data obtained in the course of the experiment to research the influence principle of the above5factors on cut rate, and the research suggests the picker roller speed has correlation separately with feeding speed and cutting knife speed.The single factor experiment of knife speed shows that in the case of the picker roller speed is800r/min, the snapping roll diameter is80mm, the feeding speed is lm/s, row harvest, the rotation radius of blade is94mm, corn stalks start to be cut off when the speed of cutter head shaft is at399-370r/min (the cutting edge online speed3.6-3.9m/s),and when the speed of cutter head shaft is at1000-2216r/min, the best-fit relations curve between corn cane qualified rate and stripper roller rotational speed is y=-3.7E-5x2+0.1463x-44.055, R2=0.9876, and when2216r/min, the corn cane cuts to pieces the qualified rate is98.6%.
