Retrospective Study On Late Stage Non-small-cell Lung-cancer With Tradition Chinese Medicine And Western Medicine

Objective:Non-small-cell-lung-cancer is the most common type in lung cancer.Chemotherapy is one of the main idea for stage III to IV,but it is not effective.This research is to explore the live situation,analyze relationship of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) treating and the combined treatment treating in advanced stage NSCLC on the survival time, and analyze the prognostic factors may affect survival, so as to comprehensive treatment of Chinese medicine in the treatment of advanced non small cell lung cancer provide the basis for the further implementation. Methods:Retrospective study clinical record of 201cases of advanced stage NSCLC which consistent with the accepting criteria, collected the Sex,age,smoke,stage,pathology,first symptom,diagnosis ways, observe the median survival tine and the factor affected.related with medical cases and telephone, close on 2010-06-30.Use Spss17.0 statistics software, simple factors use Kaplan-Meier and drawing Kaplan-Meier survival curves. Use Log-Rank test to analyse the factors of survival time for any significant differences, factors related to the prognosis were analyze by the method of COX Regression model analyze. With means of p<0.05.Results:The 201cases of advanced stage NSCLC, the median survival time were 12 months,6-month survival rate was 82.26%,The median survival time of treated with TCM and western medicine combined therapy were 13month,6-month survival rate was 81.57%,63 cases of NSCLC treat with simple Tradition Chinese Medicine median survival time were 10 months,6-month survival rate was 78.83%.Simple factor analyze show smoke,sex and therapy have means(p<0.05),through the COX analyze smoke and therapy still have means. Conclusion:Retrospective study clinical record of 201cases of advanced stage NSCLC Sex,age,smoke,stage,pathology,first symptom,diagnosis ways. Use Log-Rank test and COX analyze the related factors, result show that:smoke and therapy can be the simple factor affect late NSCLC survival. Treated with TCM can prolong median survival time, combined use with western medicine can improve the quality of life, prolong the median survival time. This retrospective can not represent the effective of TCM and western medicine combined therapy because the patients were all come from xinjiang pro vice TCM Hospital, but it had indicated that TCM used in late stege NSCLC can prolong median survival time.
