Clinical Observation Of Superficial Acupuncture Treatment On Acute Bell's Palsy And Its Innuence Of Plasma Endothelin

Objective:This study is to observe and evaluate the efficacy of superficial acupuncture treatment of Bell's palsy of acute and its influence on plasma endothelin to exploring more beneficial treatment method for the clinical treatment of acute Bell's palsy.Methods:40 patients with Bell's palsy disease were randomly divided equally into two groups:acupuncture combined with superficial (treatment group) and acupuncture only (control group) for clinical observation. Evaluate each patient's facial nerve function according to the House-Brackmann (H-B) evaluation system and determinate the level of plasma endothelin of the two groups before and after treatmentAnd then compaire the treatment effects according to every patient's HB scale and the level of ET.Results:(1) After treatment the scores of HouseBracmann improved significantly(P<0.05). Clinical comparison:Treatment Group:13patients was cured,3patients effective,3 patients less effective,1 paeients treated invalidly, the total efficiency is 95%; control group:7 cases was cured,4patients was treated effective,5patients less effective,and there was 4paeients treated invalidly, the total efficiency is 80%, consolidated group effective than the control group (P<0.05).(2)The Level of the plasma endothelin of two groups obviously declined after treatment comparing to the beginning of treatment (P<0.05); The decreasing levelof ET is siganificant in both,but the treatment group is better than the control group, significant difference (P <0.05).Conclusion:(1)Acupuncture combined with Superficial showed the best effects on curing Bell's palsy.(2)The treatment method of acupuncture combined with Superficial can reduse the level of ET fast and siganificant. It suggest adjustment of vascular endothelial cell's production function thereby improving the microcirculation of patients may be one mechanisms of the treatment method of acupuncture combined with Superficial to be superior one in curing Bell's palsy(BP).(3)We can observed in the study that the worse facial nerve function evaluated according to HB system, the higher level of ET is.can provide reference evidence clinical care on Bell's palsy(BP). And the level of the plasma endothelin of two groups obviously declined after treatment.So,we can concluse that,ET is related to the occurrence, development and outcome of Bell's palsy.It can provide reference evidence clinical care on Bell's palsy.
