Effects Of Electric Needle Therapeutic Combined The Function Training Of Facial Muscle On Heavy Bell Palsy

Objective:Comparing different intervention method (the group of EA&TDP& facial muscle Function training/the group of EA&TDP) which improve Bell Palsy of facial nerve function to observe the efficacy of the EA&TDP& facial muscle Function training of combination treatment on Bell Palsy and the impact on the course.Methods:Clinical observations method are randomized in this study.120 qualified facial patients were randomly divided into a comprehensive group (the group of EA & facial muscle Function training) including 60 patients and control group (the group of EA)including 60 patients for clinical observation. Comprehensive group were treated with electric acupuncture, facial muscle Function training while the control group were treated with electric acupuncture only.Clinical efficacy. House-Brackmann (HB) facial nerve function rating scale and scoring were compared in each subgroup before and after three courses'treatment.Results:1. Clinical efficacy after 3 courses of treatment:comprehensive group:37 cases clinical recovered,1 cases special effect,16 cases valid and 6cases invalid,cure rate 62%,total effective rate 97%; control group:28 cases clinical recovered,4 cases special effect,18 cases valid and 10 cases invalid,cure rate 47%,total effective rate 83%, comprehensive group were superior to that in the control group(P<0.05).2.Both groups have improved on the H-B facial nerve function evaluation system after treatment,both efficacy (P<0.05).3. House-Brackmann (HB) facial nerve function scoring:Both groups have improved on the H-B facial nerve function evaluation system after treatment,both efficacy (P<0.05).But after 3 courses'treatment,comprehensive group on House-Brackmann (HB) facial nerve function scoring were superior to that in the control group(P<0.05).4.The course of treatment:Comparison of two groups of clinical recovered patients with treatment:comprehensive group 22.33±5.255, control group 25.21±4.762, P<0.01, significant difference in 2 groups, the comprehensive group's course of treatment was shorter than in the control group.Conclusion:1. The EA& facial muscle Function training of combination treatment for Bell Palsy'patients on the recovery had the exact efficacy and significantly improved the cure rate of facial paralysis.2. Facial muscle function training in combination therapy can shorten the course of the disease.
