Between Urinary Calcium Oxalate Stone And Traditional Chinese Medicine Constitution: A Research Involved 89 Cases

Objective:To explore the correlation between urinary calcium oxalate stone and traditional Chinese medicine constitution.Methods:A non-matching case-control study was employed in the research. Infrared spectroscopy was applied to analyze the components of the stones. Standardized classification measurement questionnaire of nine constitutions in Chinese medicine was used to investigate the Chinese medicine constitution of 173 participants:89 were in urinary-system stone group; 84 in healthy control group.Results:Traditional Chinese medicine constitution in stone group was sequentially as follows: gentleness type, "Yang"-depression type, "Yin"-deficiency type, wet-heat type, "Qi"-deficiency type, phlegm-wetness type, special diathesis type, blood-stasis type, "Qi" depression type. Univariate analysis of the different risk factors of urinary-system stone revealed that; gentleness type, "Yang"-depression type, "Yin"-deficiency type, wet-heat type, " Qi"-deficiency type, sex, unlike water drinking were correlated with the urinary-system stone. Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that:"Yang"-depression type, "Yin"-deficiency type, wet-heat type, male, unlike water drinking were risk factors of urinary-system stone; like water drinking was protective factor. The proportional distribution of Chinese medicine constitution between calcium oxalate stones and other components stones showed no statistically different. The position and pH between calcium oxalate stones and other components stones was different, calcium oxalate stones were used to be at upper urinary system tract, and with a low urine pH, while other components stones were opposite.Conclusion:Urinary calcium oxalate stones were correlated with Chinese medicine constitutions. Patients of calcium oxalate stone are usually virtual multi-ferrite, when the disease is often the actual situation and folders. In the pathogenesis of calcium oxalate stone formation, virtual, hot and humid suffering is the pathological process of their formation. So identification of Chinese medicine constitution for the susceptible people would provide a clue to prevent and treat the disease.
