The Clinical Research Of Treatment Of Calcaneal Fractures Of Poking Reduction With Osseous Pin And Open Reduction And Internal Fixation With Plate

Objective To discussion the pathogenesis, classification, diagnosis and treatment for the fractures of the calcaneus. Compare the clinical observation on the therapeutic effect of the two kinds of treatment in the calcaneal fractures of type SandersⅡandⅢ, that is osseous pin poking reduction and the plate treated with open reduction and internal fixation. To provide the basis for clinical treatment of calcaneal fractures.Methods This study included 40 cases of calcaneal fractures of SandersⅡandⅢ. The treatment group included 20 cases, and control group included 20 cases. Treatment group goes to be treated by osseous pin poking reduction,and if necessary,it will going to be squeezing with the nip roll, manual reduction and plaster immobilization and functional exercise therapy. The control group received open reduction and internal fixation with plate, also with functional exercise. On evaluation of functional recovery, anatomic recovery on imaging, hospital stay, hospital costs, occurrence of complications in patients before and after surgery. All the cases will be following-up. The follow-up period is about 5 to 13 months, average of 8 months. And the dates will be statistical analysis, in order to analyze the two treatment regimens in the treatment efficacy of calcaneal fractures.Results Satisfactory results were availed after surgery in both of the gropes. The treatment group did not get significantly better outcome on the terms of anatomic recovery on imaging(P> 0.05). On the aspects of functional recovery, functional scores in the treatment group does not show much better than the control group (P<0.05), while the excellent and good rate of the treatment group shows a obviously advantage. The surgical complications in the treatment group was significantly lower than the control group(P<0.01).In general comparison, the treatment group was significantly lower than control group on hospital stay and hospital costs (P<0.01).Conclusion Both of the two methods can get satisfactory outcomes in treating the calcaneal fractures of type SandersⅡandⅢ.
