Closed Poking Cut Reduction And Ao Plate Fixation For The Treatment Of Intra-articular Calcaneal Fractures

ObjectiveTo investigate the best treatment methods in patients with fracture of calcaneus.Methods69 cases of treatment methods in patients with recent fracture of calcaneus were collected and analysised from 2002.8-2005.2. 33 patients with angle of tubercle joint between 1° to 15° were treated with positioning of clogging sledge.36 patients with angle of tubercle joint between -5° to 0° were treated with positioning of cutting and fixation of AO steel plank.Statistic test was used to complaint, morphologic change of calcaneus, alteration of X-ray.ResultsAll the patients were followed up from 6 to 24 months. Excellent results were obtained in 45.5% of clogging sledge team.80.5% in AO steel plank team. There were obvious difference (P<0.05) between two teams.ConclusionFor simple intersectant or no obviously compressed calcaneal fracture, clogging sledge is a good fixing technique way. However for the calcaneal fracture of severe communicated and articular facet of impossible renovation, we often deploy the method of positive reduction and fixation of AO steel plate.
