Research On The Sustainable Development Of The New-Type Rural Cooperative Medical Care System

The dualistic structure of urban and rural areas in China has been appeared and kept long time. This situation influenced the social security system directly, and the farmers which proportion is the 53.4% of the total population have been deprived of the social security. Rural healthcare, as an important part of the rural social security system, has been attracted more and more attention from the government and academic community. In order to utilise the characteristics of urban-rural dualistic structure and to satisfy the needs of the rural residents'healthcare, Chinese government needs to explore and create the new-type rural cooperative medical system for promoting the social equity, building new socialist countryside, and harmonizing the society. It is a potential goal to improve Chinese rural social security and to establish a comprehensive social security system in urban.According to the study in history of China's rural healthcare, there was a long period that initially obstructed the development before the new-type rural cooperative medical system began. In this paper, we focus on the history of new-type rural cooperative medical healthcare system, the development, and the rapid decline in traditional rural cooperative medical healthcare system. The background of the new-type rural cooperative healthcare system will be introduced. By comparison with the decline, we found that the reconstruction and the unsustainability of traditional rural cooperative healthcare system become more useful for building the new-type rural cooperative healthcare system.The new-type rural cooperative medical healthcare is a unique system, which is suitable for the reality of China and there is no any successful system could be overcome. Moreover, in this paper, several study cases on some developed and developing countries will be discussed. These will be very helpful for establishing and continuing the perfection of Chinese new-type rural cooperative medical system.The ultimate goal of this study is to reveal the negative impact of the new-type rural cooperative medical care system and to provide a suggestion for promoting the sustainable development of this healthcare system. In addition, I will point out both subjective and objective factors that are against the sustainable development of rural cooperative medical care system. Also, the related suggestion will be provided for establishing the policy sustainable development of new-type rural cooperative medical care system.
