Xiap And Apaf-1 In Nasal Inverted Papilloma Expression And Significance Of The Research

Objective: This experiment focused on the pathological form of the nasal inverted papilloma (NIP), according to the NIP unique features and the relationship between the apoptosis and tumor occurred, to detect the expression of the XIAP and Apaf-1 in the NIP using the immunohistochemical methods. And, accordingly discuss the effect of the apoptosis control imbalance in the development of NIP,in order to provid new assistance on diagnose,development and treatment of NIP.Methods: To detect the expression of XIAP and Apaf-1 in tissue samples of 25 cases of NIP using immunohistochemistry methods with rabbit anti-human polyclonal antibody XIAP and rabbit anti-human polyclonal antibody Apaf-1, at the same time, to detect the expression of XIAP and Apaf-1 in tissue samples of 21 cases of NSCC and 18 patients with IT as the control group. The results were detected by using the methods of a multi-parameter statistical analysis, SPSS 17.0,X~2 and Spearman analysis, etc.Results: (1) the expression of XIAP in IT, NIPand NSCC positive 16.67% (3/18),60.00% (15/25),90.48% (19/21), and the differences were significant (P < 0.05). (2) Apaf - 1 in IT,,NIP and NSCC, positive 94.44% (17 / 18),64.00% (16/25),23.81% (5/21), and the differences were significant (P < 0.05). (3) in the 15 cases of XIAP positive of NIP Apaf-1 positive express was 13 cases, and in the 16 cases of NIP that Apaf - 1 positive expressing,the positive and negative number of XIAP was 13 and 3 cases and compared with significant difference (X~2 = 8.362, P < 0.05), according to Spearman statistical results, Rs = - 0.895 , the experss of Apaf - 1 and XIAP was negatively correlated in the NIP.Conclusion: the express of XIAP and Apaf - 1 in IT,,NIP,NSCC , the positive rate was increasing and decreasing respectively, and compared with significant differences (P < 0.05), and it indicated that the rise of XIAP and Apaf-1's lowing have close relations in the development of tumor. XIAP and Apaf-1 in NIP have negative correlation, and different NIP cases with different levels, it indicated that the cases of XIAP abnormally high expression and Apaf-1 of lower expression are easier to malignant degeneration or recurrence. The detection of the two factors can make help for the NIP found earlier, judgeing developing level and malignant change as biological behaviour and postoperative detection ,and following ,providing the basis for treatment and choosing reasonable operation pattern for NIP .
