PURPOSE:Mandible defect reconstruction with autogenous bone grafting required a high demand of bone mass.In this study,we used autogenous particulate bone combined with bone repair materials to repair mandibular defects in order to reduce the requirment of autogenous bone.First we observed the osteobone graft in bone defect and Subcutaneous, in order to investigate the biocompatibility and inducing activity on the surrounding tissue of osteobone,then we investigated the osteogenesis effects of the shaped titanium mesh with autogenous particulate bone combined with bone repair materials for reconstructing the segmental mandibular defect in rabbits. MRTHODS:6 New Zealand white rabbits were prepared for the graft of osteobone in the bone defect and back subcutaneous. The animals were Sacrificed 4 weeks postoperation for HE.RESULTS:The Materials were wrapped with fiberous tissue. New bone formed was observed in the surface of material,while the materials grafted in the bone defect; angiogenesis was observed in the material grafted in the subcutaneous.CONCLUSION:Osteobone is a kind of perfect bone repair material with three-dimensional structure that can induce the formation of bone and angiogenesis.METHODS:18 New Zealand white rabbits were prepared for unilateral segmental mandibular detect models, and randomized into 3 groups. After reconstructing the shape of the mandibular by titanium mesh, autogenous particulate bone, bone repair material and autogenous particulate bone combined with bone repair material were grafted respectively. Histological observation of HE and Micro-CT of the grafted bone in titanium mesh were studied 12 weeks after the surgery.The results used SPSS 14.0 software package to analyze.RESULTS:Abundant new bone was formed in the bone grafting site, and most of materials were absorbed, There were no significant difference in bone volume fraction and bone density between the experiment group and autogenous particulate bone graft group.CONCLUSION:Titanium mesh sharped autogenous particulate bone graft combined with osteobone can form a good structure of bone tissue, and it provided a new way for mandibular reconstruction.
