Objective Jaw cysts are commonly found in clinic. But it is often difficult to detect early as it is asymptomatic, and usually the patients are diagnosed with large bone cavity formation. Its treatment is surgical curettage.Often after maxillary bone cyst curettage, would be left variety of bone cavities, for small bone cavity may be used for bit tight suture zone, let bone cavity filled with blood, let it condense, machines, ossification, equivalent to extraction wound healing tooth socket mechanism;for larger bone cavity after removal of common iodoform gauze, but dressing more frequently and longer duration, seriously affecting the quality of life of patients after recovery increase.so in clinic, the treatment of bone defect repair of jaw cysts become the ultimate goal of treatment, thereby allowing the jaw bone cyst cavity left and the choice of materials become a hot topic. The clinical subject,Autogenous tooth bone graft material and Hydroxyapatite powder to be used after enucleation of the jaw bone cyst bone defects, and observe the bone healing and formation and is compared.Besides this, the application of autogenous tooth bone in jaw cyst surgery, its clinical validation for bone defect repair is also provided. Methods: This research selected 30 patients with odontogenic jaw cysts and accepted treatment in The second hospital affiliated to Da Lian Medical University from July 2013 to November 2015.Orthopantomography(OPG)was used to measure size before surgery and the size ranged from 2.0cmx2.0cm-7.0cmx3.0cm.20 maxillary cyst curettage and bone cavity filling restorative treatment, wherein Group A in which autogenous tooth bone graft material: 10 cases of dentigerous cyst enucleation done and filled using autogenous tooth bone graft material;Group B in which Hydroxyapatite group: 10 cases of simple cysts of jaw which includes radicular cyst, dentigerous cyst and primordial cyst were filled using hydroxyapatite after the curettage.Group C 10 cases odontogenic jaw cysts which includes dentigerous cysts, radicular cysts and primordial cysts underwent curettage but does not use any cavity bone repair material and hence it is the control group. The case distribution is shown in the tabular column number 1 for reference. After 6-12 months of regular follow-up record which includes progress of healing, clinical observation and OPG examination of the patient were done.Observations include comparison of bone defects, absorption of the bone defect repair material and also recording and analyzing patient’s wound healing. Results: Postoperatively 30 cases were followed up.The healing of the bone defect gradually improved, where Group A reported no case of recurrence, wound infection, filler rejection, pathologic fractures or any other symptoms, patients in Group B reported 1 case of hydroxyapatite material rejection, group C had 1 case wound infection. After 1,3,6,12 months patients were referred for clinical checkup and OPGs were taken.6 months after: Group A showed all of the autogenous tooth bone graft material was merged with the surrounding normal bone, the original image density of the cysts disappeared, the original location of cysts showed visible trabecular structure, the formation of new bone.Group B in which hydroxyapatite particles absorb the surrounding bone cyst showed fuzzy white lines, the original image area significantly low-density cavity between hydroxyapatite particles, and transmittance reduced, new bone formation seen, hydroxyapatite crystals and new bone tissue and the surrounding bone has begun the gradual integration with normal bone tissue but have obvious boundaries. The patients in group C showed bone defects showed healing and will take longer than six months. Conclusions: This study of 30 cases of odontogenic jaw cysts in The second hospital affiliated to Da Lian Medical University, were analysed and studied according to the treatment process and regular referral records showed, the following conclusions: in the choice of autogenous tooth bone graft material as a repair of bone tissue replacement material for bone defects,is safe, effective and non-toxic;autogenous tooth bone graft material can promote bone formation, accelerating bone defect rate is conducive to the healing of bone tissue;dental bone osteoblasts formation and osteogenesis is better than hydroxyapatite when we consider both at the same point of time;use of bone defect repair material into a group of patients and the success rate of bone quality is far better than cases of no use of bone defect repair material.
