Clinical Study On Type-2 Diabetes Patients With Cerebral Infarction Of Serum VEGF, Endostatin Levels And Ratio Of V/E

Objective To study the relation of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF),Endostatin(ES)and ratio of V/E in type-2 diabetes patients with cerebral infarctionMethods Serum VEGF and ES were determined by ELISA in 30 type-2 diabetes patients with cerebral infarction,30 cerebral infarction patients on 1st , 7th , 14th day and only once in type-2 diabetes patients and 30 normal controls.Results Level of VEGF in type-2 diabetes with cerebral infarction group, cerebral infarction group and type-2 diabetes group were significantly increased on 1st , 7th, 14th day than normal controls group(P<0.05 or P<0.01 ). Level of VEGF was significantly increased in cerebral infarction group than in type-2 diabetes group (P<0.05 or P<0.01). There was no obvious difference between in type-2 diabetes with cerebral infarction group and type-2 diabetes group(P>0.05). In the cerebral infarction group(small & middle infarct size),Level of VEGF increased on 1st day,conspicuously rised on 7th day,then declined on 14th day.In cerebral infarction group of large infarct size,there was no declined on 14th day. In cerebral infarction group,level of Endostatin didn't have any obvious change on 1st day and significantly rised on 7th day and slight declined on 14th day.There was no difference of level of Endostatin in type-2 diabetes on different time point(P>0.05).In the cerebral infarction group,ratio of V/E was higher than normal controls on 1st day(P<0.05 ),then declined on 7th ,14th day.The large infarct size of cerebral infarction group reached the highest data(P<0.05).NIHSS in type-2 diabetes with cerebral infarction group,cerebral infarction group were significantly increased than type-2 diabetes group and normal controls group(P<0.01),Type-2 diabetes with cerebral infarction group were significantly increased than cerebral infarction group in same time and infarct size(P<0.05 or P<0.01).Level of NIHSS decreased on 7th day in cerebral infarction group(small and middle infarct size)(P<0.05).NIHSS of type-2 diabetes with cerebral infarction group (small,middle and big infarct size)didn't decreasd on 7th day.NIHSS of type-2 diabetes with cerebral infarction group (small infarct size)decreased on 14th day(P<0.05). V/E ratio has positive correlation with the NIHSS in Type-2 diabetes with cerebral infarction group, cerebral infarction group and all of cerebral infarction patient.(r=0.568,0.872,0.715).Conclusions Increased level of VEGF and ES after cerebral infarction may be one of the mechanisms of cerebral infarction in acute stage of self-protection. The dynamic balance of V/E maintaining the stability of the promotion and inhibition of angiogenesis.The level of VEGF,Endostain and V/E in type-2 diabetes with cerebral infarction patients didn't increase maybe the reason of the worsening of illness.
