Objective:To investigate the expression changing of platelet derived growth factor(PDGF) and transforming growth factor-β(TCF-β) in human acute and chronic wound tissue treated by vacuum sealing drainage(VSD) and explore the mechanism of wound healing accelerative effects of vacuum sealing drainage.Methods:26 cases of human acute and chronic wounds were divided into 2 group randomly and were treated by vacuum sealing drainage and common gauze dressing respectively. A pieces of granulation tissue specimens 5Χ5mm were excised from the wound of those patients before and after treatment 7 days for once . Ordinary stain and immunohistochemistry stain methods were applied to detect the expression change of PDGF and TGF-βduring treatment. Results:In the treatment group one week after VSD treatment, the wound were covered with fresh granulation, there were no infection, on edema and no obvious exudation, and those wounds could be skin grafted. In the control group one week after ordinary gauze dressing, the granulation tissue on the wound were not fresh, there were usually infection, obvious edema and exudation, those wounds could not be skin grafted. The expression of PDGF and TGF-βin the experimental group were obviously much more than in control group, there were significant statistic differences between the two groups(P<0.05).Conclusion:VSD could accelerate the growth of granulation tissue in the wound, increase the expression of PDGF and TGF-βin granulation tissue, which is beneficial to wounds healing.
