Objective:In order to analysis the clinical therapeutic effect of treating colorectal cancer chemotherapy-induced anemia with supplementing qi and nourishing yin, providing the data prophylaxis and therapeutic measure with chemotherapy-induced anemia in further research, we designed this experiment.Method:Adopting retrospective study, we collected the colorectal cancer cases in hospital of Wuhan puai hospital which diagnosed by the pathology from January 2005 to November 2010.161 clinical cases of colorectal cancer which accepted postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy were adopted at last,93 of them used the traditional Chinese medicine with supplementing qi and nourishing yin combining with chemotherapy,68 of them only accepted chemotherapy. There were no difference between the two groups in age, sex and location of tumor. In order to evaluate the clinical therapeutic effect and disease prevention of supplementing qi and nourishing yin in colorectal chemotherapy-induced anemia patients, we analyzed the data means of hemoglobin with the colorectal cancer cases pre-chemotherapy and post-chemotherapy. Comparing the incidence rate of chemotherapy-induced anemia, the degree of chemotherapy-induced anemia pre-chemotherapy and post-chemotherapy, emergence time of chemotherapy-induced anemia, persistent time of chemotherapy-induced anemia, the recovery of hemoglobin during the time of without chemotherapy, the diversity of KPS score pre-chemotherapy and post-chemotherapy with the experimental group and control group to observe the clinical therapeutic effect of treating colorectal cancer chemotherapy-induced anemia with supplementing qi and nourishing yin. The state of hemoglobin occur significant difference between pre-chemotherapy and post-chemotherapy at fourth cycle in the group of experiment (P=0.03) while the control group occurred at second cycle (P=0.009), the state of hemoglobin in control group decreased earlier than the experiment group; compared with the group using the traditional Chinese medicine with supplementing qi and yin, the cases of control group occurred anemia earlier and persistence time longer, there were statistics difference at two cycles, three cycles and four cycles, among which existing obvious difference at two cycles, three cycles(P<0.01). Compared with the experiment group using the traditional Chinese medicine, the cases of control group's anemia rebound harder, the control group's hemoglobin shown static difference between the first post-chemotherapy and second pre-chemotherapy, while the control group shown difference at third post-chemotherapy and fourth pre-chemotherapy. Compared with the experiment group using the traditional Chinese medicine, the cases of control group's KPS score had statistics difference between pre-chemotherapy and post-chemotherapy (P<0.01) at two cycle, three cycle and four cycle, While the experiment group occurred at fourth and fifth cycle.Result:The incidence of chemotherapy-induced anemia in the group of experiment (the traditional Chinese medicine combine with chemotherapy) was 43.01 percent. The incidence of moderate and severe severity anemia was 27.5 percent, the control group (only accept chemotherapy) were 55.9 percent and 47.4 percent. The total incidence of chemotherapy-induced anemia between the two group hadn't shown statics difference (P>0.05), moderate and severe severity anemia had static difference (P=0.02), indicated that moderate and severe severity anemia in control group take a large part while the anima in experiment group shown much lighter. Conclusion:There was a high incidence rate of chemotherapy-induced anemia in colorectal cancer postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy (in our experience, the incidence rate of chemotherapy-induced anemia was high to 48.4 percent), we should be reconstruction; the group which accepted simple chemotherapy occurred anemia earlier and persistence time longer, recovery more difficult as well, the traditional Chinese medicine of supplementing qi and nourishing yin can prophylaxis the occurrence of chemotherapy-induced anemia, treat it, postpone the occurrence of chemotherapy-Induced anemia, shorten the persistent time of chemotherapy-induced anemia, degrade the level of chemotherapy-induced anemia. The traditional Chinese medicine of supplementing qi and nourishing yin can improve the quality of life of accepting chemotherapy. It is convenient to take zhenqifuzheng grasp during non-chemotherapy state and use huangqi injection during chemotherapy, worth to spread in the clinical work.
