Ampelopsis megalophylla Diels et.Gilg is a medicincal plant of Ampelopsis, used in Enshi of Hubei province. It is neutral in nature and has sour and bitter tasting. Recent pharmacological studies indicated that ampelopsin,myricetin and myricetrin of the plant could reduce hypertension and cholesterol.On the base of antihypertensive constituents of Ampelopsis megalophylla Diels et. Gilg, we established its quality standard systematically. The TLC was unique to some extent. The contents of ampelopsin,myricetin and myricetrin were examined with HPLC. A stable and reliable method was set up,and 4 samples of different fields were analyzed. Our research can effectively control the quality of Ampelopsis megalophylla Diels et.Gilg.Post researches of Ampelopsis megalophylla Diels et.Gilg aboat pharmacology proved that acand myricetrin could reduce hypertension of acute RHR and that the total flavone could reduce hypertension reduce angiotensinâ…¡(Angâ…¡) and endendothelin (ET) of chronic RHR, and increase nitricoxide (NO) level. But post researches didn' t study whether ampelopsin,myricetin inhabited ACE. Therefore, we studied it by inhabiting the hypertension of angiotensin I induced. The result show that they didn' t distinctly inhabited ACE.
