Belongs to the meridians of liver, gallbladder and lung. It can clearing away heat and toxic material, gallbladder tuihuang, expelling wind and dampness, nalgesia, cure cough and facilitate expectoration. In recent years, clinical reports it could cure diabetes and cardiovascular diseases, it usually as an multi-drug use in the treatment of diabetes and received a good effect. This object on the basis of the clinical experience and previous work of other scholars observed in the treatment of Polygonum on T2DM. Clinical research:70 patients with T2DM were randomly divided into two groups:the treatment group (n=35) and the control group (n=35).The treatment group was treated by Rhizoma Polygoni Cuspidati, the control group was treated without Rhizoma Polygoni Cuspidati. The purpose of this.experiment is to observe the clinical efficacy of two groups.2. Experimental research:Built type 2 diabetic model by STZ injection with high glucose and lipid diet and randomly divided into 4 groups, high-dose PC group, low-dose PC group, diabetic model group and metformin group, another group is the normal group. And they are interpreted with different materials. After 6 weeks, the glucose, TC, TG, MDA, SOD in the blood were observed.Results1. Clinical research:67 cases were completed, in which the group treated by Rhizoma Polygoni Cuspidati finished 34 cases and the comparison group finished 33 groups. And the treatment was two months. Compare with the different with Clinical manifestations, Glucose and Blood pressure Before and after treatment.32 cases in treatment group have complete, remission for 16 patients (47.06%), 12 cases excellent (35.29%), effective for 4 patients (11.76%), invalid for 2 case (5.88%), the total effective 32 cases (94.12%).33 cases in control group have complete, remission for 10 patients (30.3%),6 cases excellent (18.18%), effective for 6 patients (18.18%), invalid for 11 case (33.33%), the total effective 22 cases (68.75%). Two groups of data using statistical software for statistical analysis SPSS 11.0 for Windows, in which two groups total effectiveness is significant difference (P< 0.05) and the treatment group is significantly better than control group. 2. Experimental research:Blood glucose levels of rats in diabetic model group was increased, compared with the normal group was significant difference (P<0.01); with the model group blood glucose levels were decrease in high and low dose PC group decrease and metformin group, it is significant difference(P<0.05). Cholesterol and triglyceride levels of rats in diabetic model group was increased, compared with the normal group was significant difference (P<0.01); with the model group Cholesterol and triglyceride levels were decrease in high and low dose PC group decrease and metformin group, it is significant difference (P<0.05).The level in high and low dose PC group and metformin group were all decrease, there is no significant difference (P >0.05). Polygonum cuspidatum may decrease the level of glucose and lipid, decrease MDA, increase SOD level to anti-inflammation and delay the development of diabetesConclusionThrough clinical research we found that use of Rhizoma Polygoni Cuspidati in the treatment of type 2 diabetes and improve Rhizoma Polygoni Cuspidati control in reducing the clinical symptoms has a good effect. Polygonum is a more effective treatment of type 2 diabetes in Chinese medicine. Through the experimental study Rhizoma Polygoni Cuspidati can reduce blood glucose cholesterol and triglyceride levels, decrease MDA, increase SOD level. To lower blood lipids, antioxidant. So Rhizoma Polygoni Cuspidati can reduce the vascular injury, reduce the inflammation in the development of diabetes. |
