Incarvillea younghusbandii Sprague, a member of Incarvillea (Bignoniaceae), is sometimes perennial dwarf herbs and its Tibetan name is WuQueMaErJia. Incarvillea younghusbandii Sprague is the specie endemic to China, which is mainly distributed in Tibet and grows in the mountains from3500to5400meters. This herb has been used as traditional medicines in the areas of Tibetan, Mongolian, Yi, Li su. Incarvillea younghusbandii Sprague has the function of strengthening physical condition, which is widely used for treating lactation deficiency, blood inadequacy, dizziness and fatigue. The thesis studies on chemical constituents from the flowers of Incarvillea younghusbandii Sprague for the first time..The objective is to analyze the chemical components of the volatile oils from the flowers of Tibetan medicine Incarvillea younghusbandii Sprague. The volatile oils of Incarvillea younghusbandii Sprague were extracted by water steam distillation and its chemical components were separated and identified by GC-MS. The content of each component was determined by area normalizetion method. Twenty four peaks were separated and twenty three components were identified, which constituted about99.59%of the total volatile oils. The main compounds are hexadecanoic acid(31.66%), tricosane(15.76%),9-hexyl-heptadecane(8.37%),myristic acid(7.96%),2,15-hexadecanedio-ne(7.20%)The constituents were separated and purified with chromatographic methods and their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic methods(1H NMR,13C NMR,MS). Seventeen compounds were isolated and identified as β-sitosterol(1), β-daucosterol(2), ursolic acid(3), rengyolone(4), apigenin(5), luteotin(6), quercetin(7), calceolarioside A(8),2'-acetylacteoside (9), luteolin-7-O-β-D-glucuronide methyl ester(10), tubuloside B(11), apigenin-7-O-β-D-glucuronide methyl ester(12), acteoside(13),2-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-ethyl-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(14), salidroside(15), rengyoside B(16), isoacteoside(17). Seventeen compounds were isolated from the flowers of this plant for the first time.
