| Incarvillea lutea a member of the genus Incarvillea (Bignoniaceae), is mainly distributed in Yunnan and Sichuan provinces. It is often treated as ornamental plant because of its beautiful flowers. Recently, the Incarvillea species have been found to be a rich source of actinidine-type monoterpenoid alkaloids, and possess significant antinociceptive activity. It was also reported that some monoterpenoid alkaloids and iridoids have been isolated fromâ… . delavayi.A systematically phytochemical study was carried out, which led to the isolation and identification of thirty-six chemical constituents including alkaloid, phenylethanoid glycosides, flavonoids and phenolics etc. Among of them, compounds 1 and 2 were determined as new compounds, compounds 3,7,20-23,37 were isolated from the genus Incarvillea(Bignoniaceae) for the first time, compounds 4-6,8-19,24-36 were isolated from this plant for the first time.In anti-inflammatory test, compounds 1,17, and 20 displayed inhibitory ability against LPS-induced NO production in RAW 264.7 macrophages.Conclusion:thirty-eight compounds were obtained from Incarvillea lutea, including 2 new compounds,7 compounds were isolated from this genus for the first time, and 28 compounds from this plant for the first time. On the basis of bioassay, it was found that compounds 1,17, and 20 showed anti-inflammatory activity. |
